Sega is preparing to bring back some of its old glory with a new vintage system. The Mega Drive Mini 2 has been introduced by the firm. While the system is now only announced for Japan, Sega is expected to introduce it to other regions as well. If and when it gets to the United States, it'll most likely be known as the Genesis Mini 2.Sega CD games will be included in the Mega Drive Mini 2's 50-game library. Sonic the Hedgehog CD, Virtua Racing, and Shining Force CD are among the titles on the list, which has yet to be disclosed in its entirety. Fantasy Zone is also included, which was never published on the Mega Drive/Genesis and was instead released as an arcade game on the Master System. It's worth mentioning that the library in other nations may be different.
SEGA MEGA DRIVE
Sega claims that every game has been authentically recreated. You'll also have the option to save your progress at any time.
On October 27th, the Mega Drive Mini 2 will be released in Japan. It will set you back $9,980 (about $75). Sega is also developing a cosmetic item that resembles a miniature version of the Sega CD accessory. You may also install the original Mega Drive Mini, which is somewhat bigger than its sequel, using a supplied spacer. The Sega CD add-on will set you back $4,500 (approximately $37). The original Genesis Mini, which Sega debuted in 2019, was a major hit with us. It offered a good collection of games that were well-emulated, as well as USB ports for connecting additional controllers. When the Mega Drive Mini 2 is released outside of Japan, fingers crossed that Sega includes the six-button version of its controller.
