ISRO SSLV Launch: Sriharikota's First SSLV Carrying Earth Observation and Student Satellites Takes Off

According to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), the SSLV can deliver payloads (mini, micro, or nanosatellites) weighing up to 500 kg into a 500 km planar orbit. Its goal is to build and fly an experimental imaging satellite in a short amount of time, as well as to show launch-on-demand capabilities. EOS-02 is a spacecraft of the microsatellite family. The AzaadiSAT is an 8U Cubesat weighing approximately 8kg. It transports 75 distinct payloads, each weighing around 50 grammes. These payloads were built with the help of female students from rural areas around the country. The payloads are assembled by the 'Space Kidz India' student team. The ground system created by 'Space Kidz India' will be used to receive data from this satellite, according to ISRO.
